Did Trade Talks hit a deadlock? U.S. President twitted that U.S.-China trade talks are “moving along nicely”, but any deal would need “a different structure”. This tweet, with no further explanations, cast a shadow over ongoing negotiations with China.
During US – S. Korea meeting Trump expressed his concerns over the scheduled meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. If this summit finally takes place, it will be the first ever between US and N. Korea. The President of S. Korea visited Washington to act as an intermediary for the successful execution of the Singapore summit.
North Korea initiated the nuclear shutdown. However, the denuclearization procedure itself raises questions. Pyongyang invited journalists to witness the dismantling of its nuclear test site. Technical experts were not invited. Moreover, a lot of journalists who received invitation decided that they will not attend.
Trade war between China and USA is finally “on hold”. A win-win business cooperation seems to begin between the two largest economies of the world. At least this was what Chinese Media supported in response to those implied that China gave in to US pressure and threats.
